Dozens of firefighters battled a four-alarm blaze for hours on Saturday at a bayfront mansion on South Shore Drive — the former home of divorced real estate power couple Charles and Kim Githler.

The fire broke out around 2:30 a.m. at 374 S. Shore Drive, near the Ringling Museum of Art, and was active until roughly 1:30 p.m., according to Sarasota County Emergency Services. No injuries were reported by a county fire department spokesperson.

The extent of damage was not immediately clear. The 10,883-square-foot home, once known as “Villa Solstice,” sold in 2015 for $9 million.

“The fire was heavily involved inside the structure,” Sarasota County Fire Department Chief Michael Regnier told Fox 13. “There’s a lot of damage inside, and we’re still ascertaining how much of the building was saved versus lost.”
