Some houses have home offices, but this one has a full-on trading floor.
A Fort Lauderdale, Florida, mansion that just went on the market for $12.99 million has a Wall Street-style command center with a trading computer, 10 monitors and an LED news ticker. The wood-paneled room also boasts two internet providers.
“If one carrier goes down, it automatically switches to another so you don’t miss productivity,” says owner Neil Schneider, 76, a nephrologist who began trading financial products for six hours each day after he retired from practicing medicine.
The 12,523-square-foot, six-bedroom, 7.5 bath home also contains a movie theater, a dog spa with a custom-made dog bath, a library with a built-in humidor for cigars and a massive wine cellar.
